gotta get pictures uploaded, but GREAT NEWS! Sydney is sleeping without pullups, and has had zero accidents since Friday. We just told her no more nighttime undies. We were expecting to be doing untold loads of laundry, but I guess she showed us! I guess we also underestimated the power of the jellybean (bribery)!
And big'ol Max has one tooth, with another coming. He also started crawling on his hands and knees, instead of the comando style one-arm-one-elbow thing he had going on.
Photos coming.

My little buddies!

We're expecting a tooth to pop through any day now. Max has been waking up at night, which is not like him. and his gums are very puffy.

Taken yesterday while Sydney was running in circles in the front yard.

I love this! just wish I was a better photographer.
Max pulled himself up a couple of times yesterday. I don't know how much he weighs right now, but those pants are 12mos. I think one more pound, and we have to get a new car seat for him!

Jason took this a couple of weeks ago. Sydney was supposed to be napping, but was obviously
unable to put her book down. Tallulah is making a break for it, and Elmo saw the whole thing!

Granny and Gramps' visit
We had a great time the week of 8/11 with Granny, Gramps and Auntie Rachael. We did all sorts of stuff, had loads of fun, ate well, and didn't kill anybody!

Other stuff going on -- Max is 6 months. He's almost crawling. He rocks on his hands and knees, and drags and rolls himself around on the hardwood floor quite efficiently. He's eating sweet potato, apple sauce, yogurt, cereal - and can really put it away. He's a whopping 19.5 pounds, and my back is paying the price. I can't wait 'til he can walk!

Sydney is an awesome little girl. She has taken her time potty training, bless her, but it's going great. She took a nap without a pull-up yesterday, and stayed dry.

She was sooo good when Granny and Gramps were visiting - even with not taking a nap for a week straight! My mum was very impressed, and can't wait to come back at Easter.

Sydney's Pals
Sydney always finds a buddy to play with. This was at the Puppet Festival in Nashville.
A rare thing - no scabby knees!

This is at the Dragon park in Hillsboro Village. (the one with the Echo tunnel - see Jason's blog, http://smydsmax.blogspot.com/)

Aaah ... Fooood!
Max had his first solid food for dinner yesterday (I wouldn't call it solid really - cereal mixed with applesauce). He didn't care for the cereal by itself, but when I mixed in some applesauce, he liked it, and kept grabbing the spoon! Photos to come! Of course, it was a good thing it happened to be bath night!
He had his 4 month checkup last week. He is officially a big baby. 17lbs, 26 1/2". 95th percentile. We are not feeding him if he wakes up during the night anymore. Jason said he wants Max to respect him, before he can take him! so we figured we'd better slow it down a bit before we have a monster on our hands!
He is always happy and smiling - except when he's hungry, getting sat on by big sister, or when you try to rock him to sleep. They took a bath together yesterday and Sydney was very curious about Max's "belly button" eh hem...

Our Little Guy
Max has started to "talk" a lot. He loves tying to mimic you if you coo at him. He smiles back, and has outgrown some of his 0-3 months clothes. His hair. Oh my!! He is bald except for a tuft on top, and a fringe around the back of his head. He looks like an old man that forgot to put his wig on. It really is quite hideous. He sleeps on his back and his tummy, so it's pretty much rubbed off everywhere but the tuft and the fringe.
We all went to the dragon park Sunday and Sydney, as usual, made friends with a little boy. She's been doing so well with potty training, although this is the fourth week, she's definitely getting it. Although she did have to change clothes twice while we were out yesterday. She hadn't napped all day, so I think being tired makes it difficult for her.
